Dr. Butuk has been practicing family medicine since 1994. He graduated from medical school in 1991 and completed his family practice residency in 1994. Dr. Butuk is board certified by the American Board of Family Practice and is a member of the American Board of Family Physicians and the Idaho Medical Association. Dr. Butuk focuses on preventive medicine with an emphasis on healthy nutrition and lifestyle. He lives in Meridian with his wife and two children and enjoys an active lifestyle.

Janine Thorson, MSN, FNP-C
Certified Family Nurse Practitioner
Janine Thorson has been caring for families for over twenty-five years. Married for 33 years to a Marine Corps Colonel, she began her career as an Associate’s Degree Registered Nurse in 1991 in Jacksonville, North Carolina. Following her husband’s career from Camp Lejuene, she next completed her BSN in 1994 at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia and ultimately completed her MSN in 1996 in advanced practice nursing at Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia. While completing her education in Northern Virginia, she worked as an Intensive Care Unit Nurse at the Mount Vernon Hospital. She loved the ICU setting, but soon moved to Family Practice care at Kaiser Permanente in Fairfax, Virginia.
After her husband’s retirement from the Marine Corps in San Diego, California, she continued working in Family Practice for Kaiser Permanente in Southern California. When the family moved to Temecula, California, Janine moved to the Rancho Family Medical Group in 2000 and remained there for 11 years. In 2011, the Thorson’s left California to start a new adventure in Meridian, Idaho. Janine is eager to grow her practice at Meridian Family Medicine. She is proud to be a board certified Nurse Practitioner in Idaho.
Janine spends her free time with her husband enjoying the outdoors of Idaho. She has three grown children and three grandsons. Janine loves to spend time with her family and likes to travel, read, and snow ski.
